Elke Sudermann Fisher

Elke Sudermann Fisher, Berks County Resident, came to America in 1978. She was born, raised and educated in Germany and did extensive traveling throughout Europe during her early twenties. Elke's thirst for the fine arts has led her to such places as the Louve and the Rodin Museum in Paris, the Reijks and Van Gogh Museums in Amsterdam, the British Museum, and the Tate Gallery in London (just to name a few).

Not formally trained, Elke has been influenced by both the old masters as well as the impressionists, expressionists, pop artists and the modern masters. Elke found favor for all time periods and styles. Her respect for the power of expression and symbolism that lies within each work of art stems from her passion of art and bleeds through to her own artistic endevours.

Elke's art is diverse, a reflection of her innermost self, as well as a perceptive look at the world in which we live. Her art always returns to creation, evolves from then to now, and introduces exciting possibilities.

Elke focuses on various media including: acrylic paint, mixed media, installations, oil paint, pastel chalk, and pencil.

The genres of art Elke focuses on are: abstract, impressionisism, expressionism, pop art, and modern art.
